What happens on our retreats?

Whenever I talk to people about coming on a retreat, their eyes light up and many say they can’t imagine anything better. However, I’m very aware that probably everyone has a very different idea of their ideal retreat, ranging from a luxury hotel in Bali to a week’s worth of yoga or detox.
?
We’re somewhere in between. In the first week of July, we’re taking over a lovely house in the Cotswolds (so not far to travel) and providing comfortable surroundings to enable you to relax, and no, there’s no yoga or detox, though we do encourage a digital detox. There are lovely walks in beautiful quiet countryside.

We’re offering a Zoom call for anyone if you’d like to find out more or email me for a one-to-one conversation. Details below.

Here is some of what we provide to create the right environment:
·????? Complete confidentiality, and you only share what you feel comfortable sharing
·????? You have time to reflect on your own but also with others in small groups. Getting others’ perspectives on your situation is incredibly enlightening!
·????? We don’t skirt over difficult issues. We don’t see the point of a sticking plaster, so we call things what they are and work in as much depth as is appropriate
·????? We select people very carefully, those who value personal growth and development, are emotionally intelligent and self-aware but who recognise that there’s something in their lives they need to work on, that they need a next chapter but don’t know what it looks like and how to find it.

You may be wondering what we actually DO. We use the Japanese concept of Ikigai from the island of Okinawa to provide a structure for the three days.
·????? Day 1 – what you love and what you’re good at as well as stories other people tell about you at your best
·????? Day 2 – We explore time when things haven’t gone so well, sharing stories of turning points, closed doors, failure and traumatic events. We encourage you to tell these stories so that they don’t hold you back.
·????? Day 3 – we share what really matters to you, bringing it all together to enable you to find your Ikigai, articulate your purpose and direction and start to think about where you want it to take you.

That might be enough for you, but if not, there are a further two days twelve weeks later. Over the break between retreats, we offer three virtual group calls to continue supporting you in your thinking and planning. The final two days are about where you see yourself in five years’ time and how you’re going to get there. We also offer one-to-one coaching if that would work better for you.

If you’d like to find out more do join the virtual call at 1pm on 9th May? or email me.
