WHAT IS HAPPENING SO FAR THIS YEAR IN REAL ESTATE!

Do you really want to know? Most do! This year 2024 is sure to be a better market than 2023. Let's review! 2023 brought higher interest rates and subsequently had buyers saying "I think I will wait" that decision started the already "pent up" demand that started in 2019. As Covid came in 2020 that stymied the market and continued to slow the purchases. In a portion of 2021 and 2022 the market picked up and house prices increased, interest rates were still low, and the "pent up" demand started to buy. That market increased prices we were in bidding wars and sellers said, "well I would love to sell my home but where would I go there is no inventory" What a predicament! Fast forward to 2024 (2023 housing market because of interest rates was very slow) Now this year the "pent up" demand with a small reduction in the interest rates has moved those buyers that were on the bench into the field!
