What Happened This Week

This week, OOHired passed 1,000 unique visitors thanks to you. The first free career marketplace just for OOH is only 2 weeks old this Saturday and has helped job seekers and employers alike to find a common (did I mention? free.) place to meet has been incredibly rewarding and exciting.

In keeping with the exciting employment news, it's official! I couldn't be happier to join the team at ODN to help bring more data-driven tools and best practices to the amazing brands that our team works with. Speaking of team, the culture at ODN is really unlike anything I've experienced, even after building a fully-remote startup for two years.

There is a clear vision for the company to align to, everyone is aligned on what their piece of the puzzle is and how they fit into the team, and accountability is at the core, creating a vibe that is very...sure of itself. And that's exciting. It's exciting to be a part of a growing, confident company.

There were three new episodes on OOH Insider this week, and you may be interested in checking one out, here's what dropped this week:

1. How OOH Can Help Car Dealerships Grow Market Share - A Recap Of Matt Raymond, Director of Digital Operations, Team Auto Group

2. A Big Win From The Past 4 Weeks "Off" And Day One Of A New Chapter

3. Is Edison Interactive The Dark Horse Of DOOH?! And The F Word.

All three are valuable yet #3 is top of mind so I'm going to mention why it's particularly valuable now...

Fraud in programmatic ad buying is a thing on the internet and it's a thing in digital out of home. The difference is that the internet is an infinite realm of places where advertisers can spend their money and digital out of home is just that - digital out of home; digital screens in the real world. There are a finite number of them and as an industry, we have a finite number of opportunities to get the conversation right about programmatic so I think it's important we start ripping off bandaids now.

All right, well that sounded more doom and gloom than intended and it's Friday so here's a meme to cheer things up.
