1. AFAS Software in the Netherlands is set to trial a 4 day work week (32 hour week) starting January 2025. The entire team of 700 people will no longer work Fridays.
2. Greece is to introduce a new law to allow employers to roster employees for six-day work weeks. Greece already has the longest average working hours in the EU, at 41 hours worked per week. This new law is set to increase that.
3. 40,000 Australian government workers are set to engage in industrial action over 4 day work week row.
4. The UK introduced a new flexible working law which benefits working parents. The law states that employers must accept employees’ requests to adopt flexible working hours to enable better work-life balance.
5. Danish workers have been discovered to be wasting 22 work hours every week. With their average working week being 32.4 hours in length, this equates to two-thirds of their working hours.
