We are exploring a new research initiative to bring forward the best future thinking and innovation regarding ways that regenerative design and urban agriculture can increase health equity, community prosperity, and learning for communities living in urban food desserts.?

We seek to fill the learning gaps related to future-focused best practices in the nexus among community gardens, urban farms and commercial vertical farming/aquaculture, deploying Fair Trade practices.

Community gardens are thriving, but they mostly benefit individuals. Urban Farms around the world are also thriving using regenerative agricultural methods. Innovation in growing methods, such as vertical farming, aquaculture and shipping containers are also evolving rapidly. How might we change the model so urban centers can thrive with new jobs, better access to healthy foods and more community learning? What happens at the nexus??
