What Happen to the Jobs

Progress was never without fault. We have moved this country forwaed, but each move brings its own problems. We must now look to the future for jobs that will keep this country going onward and upward. As we look forward to getting the production line moving at top speed; we have called on Robots to lend a hand.

There is a lot to be said about using Robots: they don't get sick or ask for time off. They don't complain about working conditions. At first this really seems like a winner. The owners can make a ton of money and the shareholders are happy. What happens to the workers that have a family and bills to pay? They remain in the same shape under employed.

One Robot can do the job of ten workers. He will not complain, or get tired. or go out on strike. You will be required to give him scheduled maintaince and he is off and running. But what happens to the worker that must pay his bills and try to raise a family?

The worker is no better off then before. He is still struggling to pay his bills and now he knows he better not say too much because the company can do very well without him. There must be a way out of this. He can go back to school, he can work another job, he can retire if his money is right.

We are going to have to look in new areas if we are going to keep the people working and making a good wage. There are still some jobs that can be done that will pay a pretty good wage. Roads and bridges, research for land sinks holes, law enforcement jobs.

Where are the jobs? They are here but we must look with an open mind for them.We must do more than talk to make this system work.
