What the Hack is INSPIRATHON?

Inspirathon is back, fasten your belts!

You may be familiar with the idea of a Hackathon. That's usually a one-day or two-day event where people come together in design sprints or creation workshops to build something.

They started in the coding industry, and spread to IT in general, and are now becoming more and more common in business incubators.

They're about bringing multi-disciplinary teams and people from all different backgrounds together to create products with synergy, rather than doing the work in silos. They’re design sprints in a mass environment.

But Hackathons focus on the process of building a product or service, and the end result doesn't necessarily match what the market wants. They skip a very important step. Even building a product or service the Agile way takes power, time and energy, and without the right foundation, that could be wasted energy.

The Inspirathon is that STEP.

It's the process of building the prototypes that precede the product or service. You begin by being inspired, then follow the Design Thinking process through building and creating a prototype product or service solution.

At Inspirathon, you will learn the design thinking process and how you can spark your creativity for innovation, co-creation and collaboration.

This isn't another event where you will go and sit and listen to people talking. You will be in the room, working with each other, getting hands-on experience. It's not a case-study. You will be doing this yourself, which will give you the skills and toolset to use design thinking in your own business.

And because we know how important it is to be able to pitch your business and talk about it, we will also be teaching you about interactive pitching, and giving you the opportunity to practice your pitch.
