This is what growth looks like...We are Cause Effective

Throughout the past several years, Cause Effective has experienced an increased level of engagement from nonprofit organizations seeking our services in the areas of fundraising, communications, and board governance through a lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion.?We began to see an uptick in new clients and return clients after the murder of George Floyd and the devastating impact of COVID.?The Cause Effective team has, in turn, grown to help the nonprofit sector elevate their brand and resources to fuel their mission and work.??

Answering the sector’s call for strategic guidance, thought partners, resources and tools for development and communication teams and governing boards has further solidified our 16-person team, a core group of program and operations leaders working alongside a broad bench of seasoned consultants. We have expanded our expertise through shared values, distinct perspectives, and collaborative approaches. In doing so, we have built a team at Cause Effective that provides client organizations ready to dive deeper into how they work the innovative programming to strengthen their messaging and fundraising through DEI-infused practices.?

New additions to the Cause Effective team over the past year have included:

• Program Coordinator Kirsty Bryant
• Project & Operations Assistant Tia Ellis

More recently, several staff changes have occurred as we have continued to grow:

• Raiesa Ali was promoted to Program Associate
• Janay Daniel has taken on an expanded role as Director of Programs and Evaluation
• Cynthia Reddrick is now the Senior Director of Consulting Practice
• Sonya Shields transitioned into a full-time role as the Senior Director of Strategy & Innovation?

Additionally, several team members have been afforded valuable professional development opportunities to stretch themselves and build additional leadership muscle within appointed interim leadership roles as a result of newly-implemented sabbatical policies.

Cause Effective is committed to supporting nonprofit organizations working to achieve social change and equity, and to creating sectoral change to address DEI issues within fundraising and governance and building a pipeline for people of color into leadership positions.?

Within the past year, Cause Effective:

• stepped up to meet the demand for our services and programs as organizations continued to deal with the ripple effect of the pandemic;
• elevated our capacity to help build stronger leaders and more resilient nonprofits nationwide;
• worked with organizations from coast to coast, addressing the importance of equity in their fundraising and communications strategies to drive more resources to fuel their growth; and
• partnered with over 1,000 organizations to move the needle on critical issues in board governance, fund diversification, and donor cultivation to generate support for their mission and work during this challenging time in our history.

In this unprecedented moment, our world needs thriving nonprofits to help communities achieve equity, social justice, and compassion.
