What is GOTS Certified Organic Cotton?

Global Organic Textile Standard, GlobalOrganicTextileStandard, referred to as GOTS. The standard is jointly developed and published by the GOTS International Working Group IWG, which is composed of the International Natural Textiles Association (IVN), Japan Organic Cotton Association (JOCA), the American Organic Trade Association (OTA) and the British Soil Association (SA). The first version was officially promulgated and implemented in September 2006. Currently valid version 4.0, released on 2014.3.1, and officially implemented on 2015.3.1. 2017.3.1, Germany GlobalStandardgGmbH (the predecessor of GOTSIWG) [1] released GOTS5.0 and its implementation manual, the new version was officially implemented on 2018.3.1
