What is the good time to run through training material ?

With Covid-19 situation, I had kept a target to run through few trainings and get certified by end of 3 months. However it was quite challenging to take out time regularly to sit through the sessions. The Training content was available in huge scale, there were plenty of learning hours to be spent and although I planned few hours a week, it was not as easy as I thought.

I took a phased approach, I identified a un-distrubed time in the day and sat through my desktop/laptop to run through these sessions. Most of them were video led trainings so mostly I chose the late evenings (read as post dinner) as the slot and it worked. On an average, I could do 8- 10 hours per week in the last 2 months and I could gain few learning points and gain knowledge.

Another Challenging aspect that I personally experienced was my attention span. Most often, many of my training plans during pre-CoVID situation was de-prioritized due to delivery timelines or some other reason and I on an average must have attended one or two class room sessions in the entire year . so my attention span was not that great to listen (along with viewing) to these marathon video. I blatantly forced myself to sit through them and got used to it. I forcibly switched off my social media notifications and sat through session as if it was taught by my school teacher.

How was your experience? Did you utilize the COVID-19 situation to attend some training and get certified? What was your favourite time for them?

Do pen your thoughts.
