What are good marketing strategies for a small businesses & Startups?

Hiyaaaa! Are you readdddyyyyyy?

Let's go through and create a practical marketing plan that could be used almost anyplace without knowing anything about your company. I'll highlight several tools and strategies that you might wish to use as we go.

You must first understand what you are selling. The majority of individuals start with this. They have a fantastic concept for the upcoming big thing. They are eager to get going.

However, they frequently overlook the second important component: your client.

Do you understand who your ideal client is? I've posed this topic to hundreds of individuals, and a common response is something like, "Well, everyone who likes x." Alternatively, "everyone who has x issue."

"THAT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH"

Knowing who your target market is can help you create a winning marketing strategy. What does the typical consumer look like among that "everyone" that wants your product?

If you are aware of this, carry on. Spend some time figuring it out if not.

The word "funnel" is probably one you've heard before. What is it, and how does it result in sales?

Your marketing plan should be centred on a funnel. It functions as a road map for all of your marketing initiatives. In essence, it's a strategy for enticing your target audience to enter your world, get intrigued by your offering, and part with their hard-earned cash.

I'll start by discussing the "Attract" phase and how it may function for you. Don't worry, as promised, we'll continue to develop a marketing plan together. But if you want to apply this to your own firm, it's critical that you comprehend the theory underlying it all.

Do you recall our discussion of your ideal client? who is most likely to make a purchase? This is where we try to welcome them into your world and provide a warm welcome to them.

There are countless methods to do this (this is not a true statistic), but I'll only list a handful. Keep in mind that you want to pique the attention of your target audience with each method you use. We haven't yet requested that they make a purchase.

Here are some strategies that are effective at the Attract stage:

Social Media(free)

the internet (paid)

Writing/ Blogging

Basically Content Creation.

Have you ever liked a Facebook page's posts and then decided to follow it? It may be a humorous page or something political. You've determined that you like their stuff, whatever it may be. You're paying attention to them.In the Attract phase, you would utilise social media in just this manner. Facebook might be used to draw in new clients. Or perhaps you could follow folks on Twitter. Why not upload videos to YouTube instead? Don't stress about closing the sale no matter what you choose to do.

You're still developing an audience at this point. You'll start earning money from that audience soon.

THE NUTURE PHASE.

Ok. Your target clients are now paying attention to you since you've established some sort of an internet presence. Let's try to sell them something!

…Eventually. We aren't going to make a sale right now.

Instead, we'll "nurture" our viewers and encourage them to make a purchase. Here, you would provide details that are more pertinent to the issues your solution resolves. If you sell a new gadget, for instance, you may create an email series that explains to your audience what issues it addresses.

The options are numerous, like previously. They are covered below.

  • Email Autoresponders
  • Facebook Groups
  • Webinars

A series of emails that automatically send themselves is known as a "autoresponder." Your clients read them after you compose, mail, and send them using software. They're wonderful because when they're written, you can take a hands-off approach to growing your list. I advise using them to address a challenge your clients are facing. A five-part email series with the following subject, for instance, would be written by a small legal firm:

I haven't looked into Facebook groups as much as I'd like to, myself. However, I've had a number of clients that use them exclusively. You may provide your target clients with individualised guidance, responses, and solutions by creating a Facebook group. Additionally, this is a great location to solicit client feedback on your goods or find out what issues they are having. Of course, if they're prepared to convert, you'll also know who they are and be able to target them with Facebook advertisements.

Webinars are a clever method to grow your audience while still being time-efficient.You'll be able to reply individually to queries from your audience, much like in a Facebook group. But the thing I like best about webinars is that after they're recorded, you can utilise them as a resource to generate additional leads.

In other words, as email bait, you may provide a free copy of your (already recorded) webinar: To download this webinar and subscribe to our newsletter, enter your email. You now have an email that you can utilise for additional nurturing or to encourage a sale during the conversion stage.

THE CONVERSION PHASE

You have been waiting for this.?

It's actually much easier than you may imagine... simply request the sale.

You've now provided your consumers with a wealth of useful information. You provided them with webinars to download, handled their issues via email, and responded to inquiries on Facebook. All that's left to do is provide a resolution to their issues.

...An answer that just so happens to bear your company's name.

The final email in your autoresponder series has been seen by your audience. What's next?

There, you might request the sale. You might link to your Amazon page or your website's checkout page. Perhaps some sales will result. But rather of doing that, why not direct them to a sales-focused page? A page that reads like an advertisement? Returning to our legal firm example, you may request in your last email that readers "go here and get a will drafted for you... in only three days!"

Readers who click on that link are subsequently sent to a website that describes your simple estate planning solution. Schedule a brief visit to the business right away to get everything started!

I just want to point you that the aforementioned are actually just the fundamentals before we develop the funnel that works with our individual businesses. The funnels of savvy firms are always being tweaked to maximise sales.

After a conversion, there is also a tonne of room for upselling or otherwise bringing clients back into the funnel for further purchases.

I hope this helps. Winks.

I am rooting for you! WIN BIG
