What are good and bad omens?

The first bad omen that occurs to me is waking up in the morning. Now that I have awakened, I recognize I have to make my way through another day. However, not waking up is a candidate for a really bad omen. Based on my experience, I can’t think of a single bad omen that ever influenced my behavior or that when I didn’t process the bad omen, something negative happened to me. My conclusion, bad omens don’t exist - at least for me.

I do look for signposts, intuitions, that lead me to positive results. I ignored one a couple of years ago (wouldn’t call it an omen, I think it was an intuit) that cost me meaningful money v cost. If you are comfortable starting something that's a bad omen for me,. . If a cat crossing me makes me uncomfortable then it is a bad omen. On the other hand if it makes me confident then It is a good omen. I don't believe in vastu ,but still get disturbed when someone say this is good that is bad etc. So when i made my factory i followed vastu. But hey there r so many more problems which am facing because i followed vastu at the cost of common sense and logic.

That depends on how you really feel about it. What is it? And is someone telling you it’s a bad omen or do you personally believe it is? Messages from our others on the other side of the veil (guardian angels, deceased friends and family, etc.) can send us warnings in the form of omens, answers, or assurances if they really feel they need to. They will, however, use only what makes sense to you personally. They will do this in the form of odd coincidences, animals that approach you, familiar scents, or rapports. If they don’t make sense to you, then most likely they are for someone who is with you.

Nothing pseudo spiritual or religious should replace logic and commonsense. Look at Muslims who follow their book at the cost of commonsense and logic. I am superstitious to an extent. My whole family is very intuitive and I rely on my gut feeling more than anything. There is a feeling I get in the pit of my stomach, usually out of the blue, that tells me something is going to happen. I pay attention. I also believe things happen in 3s. For example, 3 people I know had surgery yesterday, kind of an odd coincidence. Otherwise, black cats, walking under ladders, stepping on cracks, breaking a mirror etc. has never been a portent of bad luck for me.

Of course we have all had our fair share of doubts, especially when our luck fails in the times of higher anticipation. Most of our beliefs are formed due to our upbringing or something we have experienced ourselves. A general meaning of omen is an event or occurrence that is taken as a sign. If it is a bearer of good news it is a good omen and if it brings misfortune is a bad omen. Omens are caused by superstitious beliefs. It is more likely that a logical person might go into the nuances of the hurdle rather than blaming the event that led to the bad luck.

Most of the bad omens are hardly personal experiences, they are heard and then practiced. For example, I guess many of us have come across black cat superstition. Have we ever met anyone who was harmed because he/she crossed a black cat? No, we just tend to ignore the cat and feel safe. In another example, people do not invite widows to a wedding. What makes a person who already faced such a great personal loss, bring bad luck? Deep down, fear is what makes us believe in these scenarios. Eliminate your fear with faith. As long as we are true to ourselves and our humanitarian deed we will be at peace.Good begets good. A person with a shallow belief system is one who is highly inclined towards bad omens. Do not be driven by your fear.

Every day is a new chance to change and make it better for a brighter future.” I often get caught up in is “don’t jinx it.” I might be driving with someone and they’ll say how great the traffic’s been so far. Often, I’ll respond with “don’t jinx it” as a way of warding off a possible traffic jam. I know it’s silly, but it’s a habit I seem to have picked up along the way.

If a very important person, like a politician, says something divisive, they will not be vindicated. If the very important person does something divisive, they will indeed be vindicated. The omens may come true, but omens may more often not come true. when omens do not come true it may be because the signs of the omen were misunderstood, or there was no real omen, in which case the false omen was just some form of wishful thinking, fantasy, or manipulation. And when omens do come true, especially a series of omens, there may be no supernatural cause for this to happen because such events may most often be explained psychologically.

But people in excited emotional states are often more prone to see meaning in things that may really be meaningless in the context of the omen, except for the meaning the excited person psychologically projects and some people are more prone to this behavior than others. …when someone interprets many random events as meaningful omens they usually focus on a single meaning; they usually focus on whatever was most important for them to believe when the first omen in the series was experienced, thus they create a series of related omens in their mind that results from psychologically projecting some central, critical concern.

Finally, alas, sometimes omens are red-herrings; a person’s descriptions of their omens’ meanings may non-consciously and deliberately fail to identify the real issue being projected because it may be something deeply repressed that they are afraid to deal with. consequently, there may be a persistent need to continue to project more omens if their critical issue cannot be adequately identified and resolved.
