What is a girth weld?

What is a girth weld
A full circumference weld that connects pipes end to end, also known as a circumferential weld. Actual girth welds usually consist of multiple passes, starting with a root or stringer pass and ending with a cover pass. A girth weld is a different type of arc welding process that joins two pipes circumferentially during the pipeline construction phase, depending on the ease of implementation and environmental factors. It is used for circumferential welds in piping and underground systems.

Girth welds are divided into the following categories:

Vertical Circumferential Seam: A seam seam is an all-position seam dominated by a vertical seam. For example, welds for fixed openings in horizontal pipes are vertical circumferential joints. Of course, the horizontal pipe of the swivel bead belongs to the length of the vertical ring.

Horizontal Circumference: Welds are all-position welds of horizontal welds, e.g. vertical pipe welds are horizontal circumferences. Horizontal circular welding also includes horizontal circular welding of vertical steel tanks, horizontal circular welding of normal standing or squatting positions, welder circular welding, etc.
Haihao Group has been producing butt welded pipe fittings and welded steel pipes for more than 30 years, and we can also provide forged pipe fittings, high pressure forged flanges and seamless steel pipes.?
