What get's you out of bed in a morning?
I get up at 5 am every day. I spend my first hour exercising my brain. I read, meditate and visually plan my day, & I spend my second hour exercising my body. Swimming, running or going to the gym before heading to work, and although I'm still very much a work in progress, I do this because it helps me to stay motivated & execute on my purpose. My why!
Now I am aware that I'm very lucky. I have a great family who supports me in my pursuits, no matter how bizarre, I have a job I love, & even as I leave youthfulness behind, albeit only just, I'm still very ambitious for myself & those people I work with.
I am very clear of my purpose. Supporting people through education. Seeing individuals develop & grow, achieving their own ambitions, & each milestone I achieve is a stepping stone to the next one.
I start each day knowing what my goals are with a burning desire to achieve them. This doesn't mean I always reach them, but it does mean that I will never give up! Bad days are inevitable, just like having days when I sulk or I'm grumpy - surprised? It's because I disguise it so well - but I won't allow myself to stay in this state. I owe it to myself as well as those I've committed to, to make sure I deliver on my commitments so I push myself through the grumpy times to enable me to get stuck into the stuff I want to achieve.
I want to live a long, healthy, productive life. I want share my experiences & knowledge with others through education, I want to make loads of money & use it to enrich the lives of others - & keep a bit for myself - I want to spend time with my family & friends, & I'm determined to dance in the rain, but I haven't worked up to that yet!!
Working with a whole range of people who are working towards their own goals inspires & motivates me & I'm continually learning from those around me.
Some days are harder than others & it's not always easy to make consistent progress, but the hard days make the good ones feel even better & it's all part of the same exciting adventure, so what get's you out of bed in a morning?
I hope you have a great week
Cheers
