What gets measured, improves
For the last year I've been using trello.com to manage my execution of tasks for my jobs, my studio, my family and my house.
As I round out my 52nd week, I've gone back and measured my progress and it's astounding what I've grown to accomplish consistently in my day to day and week to week.
Since July 2015, I've executed 1,979 tasks.
Averaging about 38 tasks a week.
7.6 tasks every day, or roughly 1 an hour.
I was averaging 136 tasks per month when I started.
In the last 6 months, my average has increased to 193 tasks per month.
Keeping a measurement of my productivity has enabled me to keep a history of everything that I've done; every payment I make, every project I execute, or marketing initiative that needs to be delivered.
It all gets tracked. I can see what happens in my home life when I have a busy week (81 was my busiest) and remember what that was like so I don't do it again. It also instills confidence in you from the perspective of my family, colleagues and employees, as they see someone who is now detail oriented, who writes things down and follows through on things.
Systems work and this system is working for me.
My goal for July 2017;
To keep my averages up and to simply crack 2,000 tasks.

6 年I've just started using Trello myself, and it is excellent for grouping tasks together. It has been a great for organizing my next immediate actions and though I've not measured my productivity as you have, there's no doubt that the lack of mental clutter alone has contributed to increased productivity. Do you have a favourite power-up? I'm using Timecamp to track my hours on freelance work; it's useful for determining what tasks take up most of my working time.
