What is Flanges

Flange connection or flange joint refers to a detachable connection which is connected by flanges, gaskets and bolts as a group of combined sealing structures. The pipe flange refers to the flange of the pipe distribution pipe in the pipe device, and the import and export flange of the equipment is used in the equipment. There are holes in the flange and bolts make the two flanges tightly connected. The flange is sealed with a gasket. Flanges are divided into threaded connection (thread connection) flanges, welded flanges and clamp flanges. Flanges are used in pairs, wire flanges can be used for low pressure pipes, and welded flanges for more than four kilograms of pressure. Put a gasket between the two flanges and fasten them with bolts. Different pressure flange thickness is different, they use different bolts. Pumps and valves, when connected with pipelines, the local parts of these equipment are also made into corresponding flange shapes, also known as flange connections. All the connecting parts that are connected by bolts around two planes and are closed at the same time are generally called "flanges", such as the connection of ventilation pipes, and this type of part can be called "flanged parts". But this connection is only a part of the equipment, such as the connection of the flange and the pump, it is not good to call the pump "flange parts". Relatively small such as valves, etc., can be called "flange parts"
