What is filtration for me and why I am drawn to that all my life?

My first counterpart with filtration came in 1973 ( or 4) and i was around 3 years old…..

Yes I lived in Thailand as a child 1973- 1979

My Father Mishka Gabay was the chiff engineer and brought knowledge thus days from overseas to ‘Thai filter company Limited’. (As I know in 1986 the president of this company die in a car accident and sold the company to an agent of Nissan).

Since then I was drown to filtration. Why? - ?while I am focus on the ?operation part of the business for the transportation segment and overall usage in our daily life- ?separating harmful from useful, it is something we live and key enabler for the future health, performance for all individuals life.

Looking backwards from my childhood / teenager life ?into adult, thus days we didn’t have a discussion what is ICE interference of the industry and thus days ?transformation was about changes from carburetor to direct injection. So yes, also in the 70th -80th transformation for industry was important part of any organization who want not just to survive, but to lead!

What change since- SPEED!

Industrial revolution in Europe during 18 century took +/-80 years. In China took 10-15 years. Current industrial evolution ???? shorter then this. And we all need to adopt.

With open markets, competition, new technology, geopolitics, ?different ?EVs if we don’t transform, we will not perform! And for this we need to look into the how from holistic approach and the what as individuals we could contribute. ?

The product is not enough. We all need to have high level of service to our different customers to be the point of choice bringing the value added to the consumer in the end of the supply chain. Correct quality, correct qty ontime to build the customer intimacy which all organizations are aiming for.

Sounds like a sales man pitch ? maybe yes, but we also need to take it with all functions of an organization.

Where ?I am in all of this?

As responsible for Global Manufacturing Engineering of filter element me and my team are thinking where we can contribute for the company we are all super proud off. Yes- Filtration is in our vane. ( and several years ago also mark a tattoo, so in the blood)

we are all about how we could do it better, faster, closer to our customer, answer customer need to be this point of choice where an individual will say- nothing bring better value then our product and services. Best Engineering answering needs = best service

I could say I do have nearly 50 years of life in filtration, and probably will have another 30 till retirement beside a Spin On. ( not thinking about it as I ?am not that old).

Filtration is going nowhere, it will continue and develop, will be more important for each of us. As an individual I am on this journey of filtration for life.
