What Is Fair Play?

It requires a lot more strength not to hurt others when they’ve caused you pain than it takes to harm them.

I came up with this quote some years ago after seeing the bigger picture only to realize that impulsive reactions in emotional battles will only weaken and uproot me from my morality.

Do you think otherwise? Is there true power in holding back or copy pasting the acts of your sinners upon them? You could have creative styles of vengeance, but the bottom line is what in your cluster of values tells you this is the ultimate form of justice?

Sowing agony, or carrying the intention of doing so, in the life of those who've trespassed your peace has no scope of improving either the individual nor the situation. Majority of us resist with the fear of having to face karma while only a handful have reached the ancient wisdom of observing it as the act of a dimmed soul. On isolating the wrong doings and studying the person in question, you'll make a discovery that realization requires showing the fruits of mercy and pardoning. If sides switched, wouldn't that be your expectation?

Have you noticed that punishment (asking karma to interfere) or returning the act yourself doesn’t bring out the same results in every person who undergoes it. We should know this from our school days and also through our children (if you do have them). I particularly never reacted well when given a tough treatment then why is it that more and more of us want our fellow beings to experience the exact discomfort that they put others into?

In the first place if they were bright and conscious enough they wouldn’t cause harm to anyone. It seems to be deliberate but if you watch without being attached to the situation you’ll know it is the work of a mind that is corrupted from conditioning over years. So what they need is a clean up through self reflection because they would not believe a word about them from the world. The ugly never would like to be termed so, then why remind them of it. Instead hope and wish that they come to an acceptance and rise up instead of dumping them more into it. Transformation for the better is the ultimate result we want don't we?

There is no enjoyment or contentment in watching suffering spread at the core of what we are. It is but temporary if at all. We must put the full-stop on being dragged into such activities that encourage unpleasant shift in mindsets. Move to the other side of the scale and lead with example by becoming what you want others to become.
