Understand the energy, carbon and cost effectiveness of commercial retrofit

Building on our 2022 Commercial Retrofit guidance , UKGBC and a task group of industry experts will be launching new guidance examining the the potential cost, operational energy efficiency, and embodied carbon impact of different retrofit measures.

Futurebuild is a yearly conference held in London that has championed sustainability in the built environment for 16 years - much like UKGBC. Prepare for the General Election and drive support for sustainable buildings policy

2024 will likely see the first general election in five years, giving an unparalleled opportunity for ambitious policy to be part of manifestos and then law. UKGBC will be mobilising our membership towards this cause and in the following weeks will be releasing information as to how members can get involved.

Building our Resilience Roadmap

As the climate crisis advances it becomes clearer that we can't only focus on reducing emissions, but we also need to adapt our towns and cities so that they are prepared for the physical impacts of our changing climate. 2023 saw multiple named storms and unpredictable weather events, and 2024 has already begun with heavy rainfall across the UK. To provide the built environment with a pathway for reaching climate resilience, UKGBC is creating the Resilience Roadmap with alongside a range of stakeholders.
