What to expect from this newsletter

Designing the lifestyle you dream of for yourself is the goal.

The way you'll do that: By using your voice. Leveraging your expertise. Being strategic. Putting the right systems in place. Being loud as an expert in the right ways.

Leading, guiding, coaching, teaching, transforming — at a level you can scale.?

More impact, more influence, more income, more opportunities. That is what I see for you (and me), and the experts in the community I’m creating. And that’s why I finally published this newsletter.

Ready to scale your impact and income — on your own terms?

Welcome to "SCALE for Impact with Intention," for visionary women leaders like you.

As a founder, CXO, consultant, speaker, author, coach or SME, you know the wisdom you hold from all the people you’ve worked with, research you’ve done, degrees you’ve earned, and expertise you’ve built over the years.

But sometimes it feels like not enough of the right people know who you are. Maybe you found 2024 to be a slower year for your business, and you realized you needed to pivot.

Shifting into more recognition in ways that lead to more freedom

Imagine a business where you're booked solid with dream clients who value your expertise and gladly pay your premium rates. A calendar filled with speaking engagements, media features, and high-level networking events that expand your reach.?

The ability to work from anywhere, take extended vacations, and give back in meaningful ways — all while growing your bottom line.

At times, amidst the constant hustle and bustle of life’s demands and work’s hustle and bustle, this vision seems like fantasy. But purpose-driven women like you are actually bringing this vision to life through intentional, impactful scaling.?

So how about we make that our reality, too? I’m in it with you as someone who deeply believes in working to create the business that supports my ideal life, and the difference I want to make.

In each issue of SCALE, you'll find:

  • Strategies to overcome being hidden so you can become recognized and sought-after by your ideal audience
  • Tactics for catching the attention and connecting with high-level decision makers (without feeling salesy)?
  • Frameworks to articulate your unique value with confidence and structure high-earning sales processes, powered by strategic marketing systems
  • Templates for campaigns that get conversions — whether through LinkedIn, advertising campaigns, strategic partnerships, live/virtual events, and/or speaking
  • Techniques to turn conversations into lucrative contracts

I envision us saying goodbye to undercharging, feast-or-famine income cycles, and doubting our ability in any way.

We are stepping more into consistent, predictable revenue, high-value clients, a waitlist prospects who want to work with us, and a business that aligns seamlessly with our values and lifestyle.

You're ready to redefine success on your own terms. Let's do this — together.?

But first, we need to make sure our minds are right for 2025...

I want to paint you a picture of a day I bet feels all too familiar:

It's 6 AM, and you're already scrolling through emails on your phone, mentally mapping out your day. By 7:30, you're getting your kids out of the door.

Before you know it, you’re in back-to-back meetings – brainstorming with your team, pitching to potential partners, and putting out fires left and right.?

Lunchtime? Ha! That's for people who aren't changing the world, right? You grab a piece of fruit or heat up leftovers between calls and keep pushing.

Afternoon rolls around, and you're deep in grant proposals, trying to secure funding for your game-changing initiative that’s going to make a huge splash.?

But wait – your social media notifications are blowing up because that awareness campaign just went viral. Time to pivot and capitalize on the momentum!

As evening approaches, you're making sure the family is good while rushing to a community event. It's crucial for building those grassroots connections, after all.?

You work the room like a pro, all while your mind is racing with ideas for tomorrow's board presentation.

Finally, at 11 PM, you crash, utterly exhausted but still buzzing with a million thoughts. Sleep? Maybe. But first, just one more email...

Sound familiar?

If you're nodding along, feeling seen and maybe a little called out – don't worry, you're in good company.?

This is the life of a high-achieving leader like you, pouring your heart and soul into making a real difference in the world.

Here's the thing, though. You're incredible. But I've got to be honest with you:?

This non-stop, pulled-in-every-direction lifestyle is not just unsustainable. It's actively holding you back from reaching your full potential and making the impact you're truly capable of.

Do less to achieve more.

I've seen it time and time again with the amazing leaders I work with. When we're spread too thin, always reacting instead of strategically acting, we miss out on the big opportunities for growth and impact.

So, let's talk about how to break free from this overwhelm trap and tap into the next level of your leadership journey. Because the world needs your vision, your energy, and your impact – but the focused, strategic version of you, not the burnt-out, scattered one.?

Your amazing qualities can be your kryptonite if you're not careful.

Your visionary mind? It can lead you to say "yes" to every exciting opportunity that comes your way, even when your plate is already full.

Your passion? It can make it hard to switch off, blurring the lines between work and personal life until there's no separation at all.

Your drive? It can push you to take on more and more, convinced that if you just work harder, you can do it all.

Before you know it, you're overcommitted, your focus is scattered, and you're running on fumes.

And you're not alone. A 2022 study by Deloitte found that 77% of leaders reported feeling burnt out in their current role. Among nonprofit leaders, the numbers are even more stark - a survey by the National Council of Nonprofits found that 40% of nonprofit leaders were considering leaving their jobs due to burnout.

So how do you know if you've fallen into this trap? Here are some tell-tale signs:

  1. You're in constant firefighting mode. Your days are a blur of putting out urgent fires, leaving little time for strategic thinking or proactive planning.
  2. You struggle to prioritize initiatives. Everything feels important and urgent, making it impossible to focus on what truly matters.
  3. Self-care? What's that? Your own wellbeing is always at the bottom of the to-do list, constantly pushed aside for "more important" tasks.
  4. The guilt is real. Saying "no" to any request feels like you're letting people down or missing out on something crucial.
  5. Delegation isn't something you've mastered. You find yourself thinking, "It's faster if I just do it myself," even when you're already stretched thin.

If you're ticking off these boxes, don't worry - you're not alone, and there is a way out.

The costs of overwhelm

Now, I know what you're thinking. "Sure, I'm busy, but I'm getting things done. What's the big deal?"

The big deal is that this state of constant overwhelm comes with some serious hidden costs:

  1. Organizational growth hits a ceiling. When you're always in reactive mode, there's no space for the strategic thinking needed to take your organization to the next level.
  2. You miss out on game-changing partnerships. Overwhelm can make you myopic, focusing only on what's right in front of you and missing opportunities for transformative collaborations.
  3. Your team suffers. Your stress trickles down, leading to burnout and turnover among your staff. A Gallup study found that employees who feel burnt out are 2.6 times more likely to leave their current employer.
  4. Your health takes a hit. Chronic stress isn't just unpleasant - it can lead to serious health issues. The American Psychological Association reports that long-term stress can contribute to health problems like heart disease, diabetes, and depression.
  5. Relationships strain. When work consumes everything, your personal relationships often pay the price. And let's be real - those relationships are what give us the strength to keep fighting for change.

Break free by mastering strategic focus

Okay, I know that sounds pretty grim. But here's the good news - it doesn't have to be this way. I’m here to help you feel more free with better strategy, systems, and direction.

There is a path out of overwhelm, and it starts with embracing strategic focus.

This is where I come in. My approach is all about helping leaders like you step back, gain clarity, and channel your incredible energy in the most impactful way possible.

YES, I may be a marketing, brand, and sales consultant. But often times, in order to build the marketing plan, we need to actually make room for growth.

Here's what that looks like:

First, we hit pause. I know, I know - it feels impossible. But trust me, this step is crucial. We need to create space to see the big picture.

Next, we dive deep into understanding your vision, your goals, and your current challenges. This isn't just about your organization - it's about you as a leader and as a person.

Then, we get strategic. Together, we'll craft a focused plan that aligns your daily actions with your big-picture goals. We'll prioritize ruthlessly, letting go of what's not serving you to make room for what truly matters.

Throughout this process, I'm your thought partner, your sounding board, and your accountability buddy.?

I bring an outside perspective that can spot patterns and opportunities you might be too close to see.

The result??

A focused game plan. Action items. An accountability system.?

A clearer mind, a more sustainable workload, and most importantly, a greater impact. Because when you're operating from a place of focus rather than frenzy, that's when the real success happens, and you can truly be in your zone.

SCALE for Impact with Intention Is about walking with you as you step into your full potential as a leader. Thank you for being here, let's do this!
