What to expect at CES 2023

CES 2023 is the largest consumer technology convention in the world. Held in the vibrant Las Vegas between January 5 to January 8, 2023, the event will host more than 2,400 exhibitors–including 317 Fortune Global 500 companies—from 171 countries to show off the latest and greatest tech innovations.

Although the general attendance rate dropped to just 45,000 last year due to lingering fears of the pandemic, CES 2023 has returned to its full glory with more than 100,000 expected attendees.

This event is unmissable for those who love and work with electronics. CES 2023 provides a rare opportunity to meet with innovators whose technologies we use every day. We will again see industry giants like Samsung, Amazon, Intel, AMD, LG, Google and others set up extravagant show booths to share their exciting news.

While CES 2023 will be live-streamed and covered by virtually all news channels, there are perks to experiencing it in person. Whether it's a prototype or a first unveil, companies have always saved something special for CES. In previous years, we’ve seen tech giants reserve first looks at their flagship smartphones, laptops, and computer hardware at CES, many of which were featured at their show booths. Attendees can then connect directly with the spokespeople at their booths and maybe even try out the new products themselves.

With a massive pool of global companies attending, CES also presents unparalleled opportunities for businesses looking to expand their presence. In addition to journalists from 188 top media outlets, 60% of registered attendees are senior-level. Even in 2022 when turnout was at its lowest, there were still over 177,000 stories written about the event. The massive show floor and the bristling metropolitan provide plenty of chances to network and share with global industry leaders.?Around 94% of exhibitors said the show influenced their annual sales.

Startups can set up their exhibits at Eureka Park, a dedicated space at the heart of the convention. It's one of the hottest and most visited spaces on the show floor. In total, investors have contributed more than $10 billion to startups within Eureka Park.

To take advantage of the event to foster growth, the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service has organized a business-to-business matchmaking program to connect Canadian technology companies with companies worldwide. This event will take place at the Venetian hotel, just a short distance from the main show floor. Any Canadian businesses can participate.

The North American Ecosystem Institute will also be going to CES this year. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to chat about your business or share what you found exciting. We hope to see you there!
