Every year, the Automate Trade Show brings together industry experts, manufacturers, suppliers, and consumers at the biggest automation event in North America.?

The event is happening from the 22nd to the 25th of May, and of course, we are going to be there along with our talented peers and patrons.
The Association for Advancing Automation, or A3, is North America's largest automation trade association, founded in 1974 as the Robotic Industries Association.?
It is the amalgamation of RIA with Advancing Vision + Imaging (AIA) and the Motion Control and Motors Association (MCMA). A3 represents 1,100+ organizations in robotics, artificial intelligence, machine vision, and many other related automation technologies.
The A3 Automate 2023 showcases technological innovations, insights, and automation solutions. In addition, it provides a fostering environment for the automation ecosystem, creating many opportunities to learn and network with industry leaders and peer organizations in a collaborative spirit.
The A3 Automate 2022, held last June, was the association's most successful trade show to date, with participants excited for a chance to be together post-lockdown.?
"Exhibitors told us that virtually everyone they met at the show has plans to automate, and some exhibitors reported selling robots right off the floor," said Jeff Burnstein, president of A3.?

What to Expect at Automate 2023

There is much to learn and many insights to gain from industry experts and speakers. If the keynote isn't enough for you, there is an entire Automate Show Theatre planned for you. There are also numerous certifications and conferences for those looking to learn.
Keynote
The Automate Trade Show is known for its impactful keynote speeches. Gregory Robinson, former Director of the James Webb Space Telescope at NASA, is the first keynote speaker at Automate 2023. He will be discussing the key to leading innovation and overcoming challenges in any organization.
Robinson emphasizes the importance of transferable skills, along with relationship-building, creativity, knowledge-sharing, and open communication, as the fundamentals of any successful team.?
Watch him talk about collaboration, problem-solving, and reaching out beyond your team with anecdotes from his 33-year history at NASA. Robinson shows how the human element is critical to driving transformation and achieving ambitious goals.
The second keynote speaker is Tom Izzo, Head Coach of Michigan State University Men's Basketball Program. As a Hall of Fame basketball coach, Tom will share lessons in leadership, and you might get a peak of how he achieved the fifth-most wins of any college coach.

Networking

To begin with, there is Motor City Mingle, the opening reception on the 22nd. Enjoy networking, drinks, and a Detroit-themed dinner, overlooking the Detroit River. Following this is the annual Automate Networking Party the next day.
You cannot miss this party, with more than 1,000 attendees, speakers, and exhibitors gathered together for food and drinks. To conclude the event, there is the Joseph F. Engelberger Awards dinner and ceremony. Then, the gala cocktail reception, followed by an elegant dinner, will be held at the Grand Ballroom.
Conference
The Automate Conference will take place on May 22-25, 2023. It is a classroom-style experience for the attendees to learn from professionals how to implement, optimize and expand automation. Whether attending for one day or all four days, you are sure to gain some insights and actionable advice from industry experts.
You can become a Certified Vision Professional with the CVP-Basic (three-day) or CVP-Advanced levels (five-day) programs. Experienced professionals can skip the classroom and directly clear the exams to get certified.

The Phoenix Contact Start-up Challenge at Automate aims to explore emerging ideas and next-generation companies. The competition spotlights entrepreneurs in robotics and automation.?
Ten finalists will be competing for the top $10,000 cash prize by pitching their technology solution to a panel of industry expert judges.
The Workforce Day on Thursday, May 25, is targeted at learners 12+ years of age to explore robotics and automation career opportunities across leading industries. Similarly, the NextGen Student Tours offer a free opportunity for students and education professionals to get a guided tour of Automate to discover the various exhibits and get exposure to the leading technological innovations in the world.
There's Automate Educators Networking Luncheon for engineering, robotics, mechatronics, machine vision, AI, and automation instructors. There is also the FANUC Education Pavillion for next-generations of workers to explore the various career paths in automation.
