The era of lining up is really over, 80 million (Amazon Prime) consumers are probably not crazy. Not as crazy as rushing in stores simultaneously, those were the days! Read on.

The 30 hour event that begins on the last 6 hours of July 10th and is held on July 11th, will be an interesting one to watch.
Prime members spend more than 2 times as much as Non-prime Members on Amazon per year.
Prime, Pampered and Mostly Satisfied
The everything store knows how to attract, treat and retain its Amazon Prime customers, after all, they spend on average $1,300 online.
Meanwhile, the number of Prime members has doubled in the last two years to 80 Million members.
The perks for joining Amazon Prime are so numerous, they are like secrets that you only know subconsciously.
Owning an Amazon Echo or Amazon Echo Show, and being an Amazon Prime member stack, and they both work well with Amazon Prime Day.
Not about Gifting; Time to Treat Yourself
If Black Friday is about the lead up to the Holidays; Amazon Prime Day is like North America's very own "Singles Day".
It's a time for glamour of personal shopping, and upgrading the household items that mean the most to everyone.
For Amazon it might be a time to break records and open up the floodgates of new customers, but for most of us; it's just a really fun e-commerce experience.

If a discount retailer tells you it has a special day, where on that day there will be even better deals, you'd be hard pressed to forgive yourself for not showing up (for 11 dollars a month no less!)
This is like a 30-hour shopping marathon with new deals offered ever five minutes. The deals are only available for Amazon Prime customers and costs $100 a year or $80 Canadian or £79, after the first free month expires.
This is the 3rd year of the event with last year's increasing 60% over the first event.

Always growing Amazon Prime day expects a record number of shoppers, transactions and deals.

- Unlimited Photo storage on the cloud
- Prime Now (super fast 2 hour delivery)
- Amazon Household (where you can split the cost with family members)
- Amazon Dash Buttons (the easiest way to re-purchase)
- Prime Wardrobe (trying apparel on for free)
Amazon itself expects to sell 30 to 40 percent more items on Prime Day 2017 vs. Prime Day 2016.
Prime Day Deals
You can literally create your list and be notified when those items are available for added discounts on Amazon Prime Day.
We can expect Amazon to do a good job of discounting its own products such as its tablets, Echo and Echo Show (with screen).
You can think of Prime Day as literally, the better Black Friday-style sales bonanza that occurs online.
No need to worry about different channels or competing retailers, letting the products be the channel is half the fun.
