What is Executive Coaching?

To understand what an Executive Coach does, we must first define “Coaching”.?
There is an endless supply of definitions.?Some examples are:
“A client-driven process consisting of a client-coach partnership in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the client to maximize their personal and professional potential.”
“An ongoing approach to managing people with the goal to increase the probability of an employee's success by providing timely feedback, recognition, clarity and support.”
“A method of achieving set goals through dialogue that helps the client to correctly set a goal, to find the best way to achieve the goal and reveal hidden inner potential in a person.”
While all are correct, these are very dry, scientific definitions.?
Here is my personal definition of “Coaching”:
“A client/coach partnership created to achieve massive results in professional and personal areas of life with the intended overall goal to move off of Hell Island and over to Heaven Island while spending the least amount of time and energy required.”
Pretty straightforward!?Becoming the best person and professional you can be…activate your potential into reality…enabling leaders to unlock and unleash their full-potential so they bring greater value and abundance to the people and entities they serve.
Coaching is autonomous and different from consulting, teaching and technical training. Coaching has the distinction of being one of the most powerful interactions for making important positive change in life and business.?Successful coaching occurs best when an experienced coach asks open and explorative questions, and at the same time engages in deep listening to the answers given in order to facilitate the client forward from where they currently are (Hell Island) to where they intend to be (Heaven Island, of course!).
The coach helps the leader understand their current competencies, see how they’re perceived by others, and focus on identifying and clarifying current goals as well as the appropriate action steps and assessments to reach those goals. \
What are the benefits of Executive Coaching?
Coaching is probably one of the most—if not?the most—individually tailored practices in talent development as it involves a close and confidential relationship between the coach and the person being coached. The coaching relationship is a designed alliance in which the coach and the client become active collaborators and stakeholders in the single pursuit of meeting the client’s intended transformational outcomes.
