What is "Executive Coaching"?

Executive Coaching” is a process in which Managers and Leaders will be guided to reflect and gain awareness of who they are, what are their potential Strengths, Weaknesses and guided in a structured manner to improve on essential areas in bringing the best out of them as a leader, utilizing their existing capabilities and resources. Furthermore, Executive Coaching will eventually help you improve on your influencing skills too.

A trusted leader is a true influencer who can?positively influence their employees in bringing the best outcomes for the organization.

Our approach for?Executive Coaching in this newsletter is based on two key fundamentals of Productivity and Performance.

Productivity from an organizational context could be how effective the employees are in delivering the desired outcome during a given period. Improving #productivity has been the secret recipe for many organizations in achieving success. As a leader, you will be tasked with goals, and your output is always being measured by your #performance . If you need to reach the required performance levels, you will only be able to do so if you and your staff are operating at their maximum productivity levels.

Why Executive Coaching is Important?

People have different skills and capabilities. However, there are?skills any organization and employees expect from a leader which, is ?less known for many individuals. While "Subject Matter Expertise" is vital, it is not sufficient in and of itself to be a successful leader in today's world.

#Leadership on ?its own contains?some core skills that are mandatory to be improved in managing people successfully. In other words, there are some key qualities employees and organizations expect from a leader or certain things they look upon for.

Executive Coaching” is important because it will give you with the necessary support and advice in transforming yourself in a logical and proven manner that has helped many others do the same.

As part of this “Leaders Central” newsletter, you will discover the areas that are essential to be improved that will help you to become a more successful #Leader by utilizing your #capabilities and #resources .

This newsletter will guide you through?a piece-by-piece approach to in improving yourself in ?these key areas.

Can Executive Coaching Make Great Leaders?

#coaching is unleashing a person’s potential to maximize their?performance. It is motivational, which will influence your decisions and thought process. It is a mindset where you are influenced to do things in a more meaningful and?methodical approach that will eventually help you?bring the best of you.

Being a good leader is a challenging task.

It is challenging because you need to be remarkably effective in one of the most challenging missions to manage people.

As a leader, you are always being evaluated on managing ?people and driving them to ?achieve ?the desired organizational ?outcomes. In simple terms, a leader should be exceptionally good at ?“Getting things done” rather than “Doing things”.

However, to “Get things done”, you need to be Influencing and Challenging. You should be able to influence people positively?to accept and face challenges with a positive attitude.?While you manage others effectively, you need to have a great focus on your core job and responsibilities too.

In this newsletter I will provide you with?in-depth knowledge and practice of “What you have to do” to bring ?the best out of you to become a successful leader.

However, “Executive Coaching” alone would not make you a great leader unless you implement what you agreed to be coached on.? Therefore, I request you to?practice the things?you will learn from this newsletter, for you to achieve the desired outcomes.

Furthermore, you need to engage ?with your direct reports as part of your improvement process. Their feedback will be one of the most critical factors that would directly impact your overall journey of transformation. It will be a “Critical Success Factor” not only at the beginning, which will eventually turn out to be a “Key Performance Indicator”?towards the end of your journey.

Any feedback provided needs to be explored with an open mind to see if there is truly room for improvement for you. There are high chances that you may hear unsatisfactory feedback, and it could even eventually put you down psychologically .

Therefore, I encourage you to take such feedback positively even when they are categorically negative in its nature and try to see if you?need some improvement. Following a period of time during which you feel you have made some modifications, re-evaluate yourself and your direct reports to see whether your change initiatives are having an influence on the updated feedback you are getting. Find some direct reports you could place your trust in ?and try to continue this process until you and they see a clear difference and improvement in you.
