What comes to your mind when you hear the word ‘evergreen’?

The word is self-explanatory because it means something that never withers or dies.

So what is evergreen content and how can you leverage it for your content marketing strategy? Let’s dive deeper into that.

What is Evergreen Content?

Evergreen content is search-optimized content that is continually relevant and stays “fresh” for readers over a long period of time – as the name implies. Simply put, it’s content that retains relevance, it’s not time-sensitive, and continues to drive traffic long after it is first published. Sounds cool, doesn’t it??

  • How to make a sandwich – It doesn’t matter if it’s 2022 or 5 years from now. People will always be interested in how to cook, especially easy dishes such as sandwiches.?
  • Why eating too much sugar is not healthy- Many of us want to learn more about a healthy lifestyle and what to do to improve our health. That’s why such topics will always be popular.
  • What is Amazon FBA? – Despite being a specific topic for a special industry, this is a great example of evergreen content. A lot of entrepreneurs are considering selling on Amazon FBA. But they need to learn more about what that is or how to sell.?

So never forget that evergreen content has a perpetual life span and retains its value.

  • How-to content
  • Product Reviews

Evergreen content can be challenging because the most popular industry topics are already covered, possibly dozens of times. In this situation, you should either add your own distinctive perspective to the subject or look for long-tail keywords with respectable traffic but low levels of competition. This will increase the worth of your content and increase the likelihood that it will rise in the search engine results.
