What is the EV Charging industry's best trade show?

What is the EV Charging industry's best trade show?

I asked that question to one of my friends in the industry and he suggested EV Charging Summit in Las Vegas, happening this year from March 25-27. When I reached out letting them know I'd be writing this post and if there was any info they'd like to share they said:

"Attend the only charging-centric event strictly focused on connecting EV Charging Infrastructure and Technology to industry leaders, government officials, municipalities, utility companies, residential and commercial decision-makers, and researchers from across the globe."

So I'm going!

I'm excited to network, attend Shop Talks and other speaker sessions, speak with existing and new vendors, and see what I can learn to improve the experience for our EV driving customers.

But there's one thing that's slightly irksome. While I can't be sure who is attending or not (they don't release attendee list but you can see from speaker list and expo floor layout), I don't see industry leaders in operating charging infrastructure on there.

Where is EVgo or Electrify America or new entrant IONNA or growing Francis Energy, LLC (I'm not even being greedy expecting Tesla to show up). In other words, where are the large CPOs that I covered here ? Is there another industry event where they attend?

Because one of the main reasons I go to these shows, is to figure out how to get better with things like:

And if the largest installers of operators of EV Charging stations aren't there, I feel like we're missing a great opportunity to improve as an industry.

I understand we're in a competitive environment and they may not want to provide learnings that could help competitors...but we're all really competing with the fossil fuel industry..not each other. If there's another show that the large CPOs feel is better to collaborate and improve and grow the EV Charging industry, what is it?

We have a lot of things working against us (including negative press fueled by men in power), so how can we band together to become stronger?

Regardless, I'm excited to head to Vegas in March and speak with industry leaders who show up ...and I will certainly share the interesting learnings from this show with you.
