For more than 50 years, Nourishing Hope (formerly Lakeview Pantry) has served as an invaluable resource in Chicago, ensuring our low-income neighbors have enough to eat and have access to critical, and sometimes lifesaving, social services. Together, we have directly improved the lives of thousands of our community members. Last year we provided over 200,000 food, mental health and social services throughout the city. We distribute the equivalent of more than 4.5 million meals annually. Our Mission: Nourishing Hope through food, mental health and social services so that all of our neighbors can thrive. We envision a city where all people have the resources needed for a dignified life. Join us to provide food for today, and hope for tomorrow.

Meet 18-month-old Ana and her mother, Daniela. Like so many of our neighbors, Daniela fits more in a day than is seemingly possible. Before the sun rises, she’s up caring for her four young children before eventually heading to nursing school in the afternoon. Her husband, Omar, just finished school to become an aviation mechanic. In the meanwhile, they know they can count on Nourishing Hope’s online market. “?????? ???????? ???? ???????????????? (?????? ????????) ???????? ???? ?????????? ?????? ???????????? ?????????????? ?????? ?????????? ?????? ???????? ?????? ???????????? ???? ???? ????????,” Daniela said. Programs like our online market mean that working families like Daniela’s can order nutritious groceries for pickup, without waiting in a long line. ?? Give a little love to the staff and volunteers at Latinos Progresando! Once a month they help Nourishing Hope by distributing food from their building in Marshall Square. After ordering groceries of their choosing via our online market, neighbors come in to pick up their orders. Orders may include fresh produce, frozen meat, dairy products, shelf-stable items and more. Thank you for your amazing partnership Latinos Progresando! ?? ?Dale un poco de amor a los empleados y los voluntarios de Latinos Progresando! Una vez al mes ellos ayudan a Nourishing Hope a distribuir alimentos de su edificio en Marshall Square.
