What Entrepreneurs Need Most

I recently talked to a local entrepreneur about her frustrations on changing her business model. She's read self-help books, hired business coaches and taken necessary steps to grow her business. But, ultimately, when it comes down to implementing those changes, she had a one word answer to describe her feelings. "Yuck!"
These emotions are not isolated to business owners. We all fear change in some way or form. But successful people are better at dealing with modifications to better themselves. So, what's the magic potion to get you there?
Well, just like anything else in life there's no magic wand to waive. But, the most effective way to change and grow your business is by having someone to be accountable to. This could be a significant other who understands your business. But more often, I find entrepreneurs need a true business mentor, coach or partner to facilitate drastic change.
Drastic change is defined differently by each individual. While it might seem like a minor change to you, it could feel gigantic to the business owner. If this is the way they've always done something, there comfort level will typically fall with the status quo.
There's never been a better time to finally make the changes your business needs. The best time is always Now! And there's no reason to go at it alone. Everyone needs a friend. And entrepreneurs need them too. Whether it be a mentor, business coach, partner or a smart and trusted friend, start lining up meetings with this person on a weekly basis. Ask them to hold you accountable as you progress your business forward. If you aren't moving forward, you are effectively moving backward. Keep chasing your entrepreneurial dreams. And know you're not alone!
