What Easter Means to Me

What does Easter mean to you? I was asked this question today and I had to think what are my expectations around Easter?
After a few conversations, taking some time to think about it, The great thing is to hear what Easter means for so many others. The family experiences, rituals people do with their families over the Easter holidays. It’s amazing to hear all the different ways people celebrate Easter.
Now to be clear I am not going to discuss anything religious. This is more about how we can connect through these hard times. Which got me asking the questions to myself what do I feel about Easter? What rituals do I due with my family? And what do I want to do over my Easter holidays.
Easter for me use to be spending it with family. Since the loss of my Grandmother 4 years ago it hasn’t been the same. Also, wanting to create that close environment that she did with her family and friends was something I always admired about her.
This is why I personally feel Easter is the time to be thankful for what we have in our lives, our family, as well as our friends. I’ve been hearing many people sharing the hard times they are currently going through right now. As you know I’ve been working through a few things myself, which I have been sharing with you.
As you know I posted in a previous article about asking myself good questions because by asking good questions it makes me search for the answers. So what are the questions I want to ask myself:
1) What would make me happy over the Easter holidays?
2) What am I grateful for?
3) Is there anything I can do to help other people?
Let’s answer the first question, what would make me happy over the Easter holiday? I feel spending time with family and friends would bring me the most joy. Being able to share this weekend with them and let them know how much I appreciate them, while having great food.
Which brings me to my next question what am I grateful for? I am so grateful for everything in my life. My amazing wife, my health, my family, the friends in my life; Jason, Jayson, Michael, Joel, and Neal have been amazing. You guys have been my extended family. I am so grateful for the mentors in my life Sean, Joel, Neal, the vCISO group, the negotiations communities, all the mentors I have on my stream that I learn from and the amazing community who supports me. Also, my amazing career in the Cyber Security field!
Last question is what can I do to help others? What I’ve been trying to do is give back with my DailyCyber and CISSP live streams to help as many people as I can. With that being said I would love to hear from you, what can I do to help you?
