What on earth is ChatGPT? [ED#1]

Have you heard about ChatGPT but never taken the time to check it out? Well, I am about to show you all the amazing things it can do!

ChatGPT is a robust model developed by OpenAI [the same group that created the text-to-image technology DALL-E]. It generates natural text responses which feel like they have been written by real humans. It is incredibly versatile and can be used to complete a wide range of tasks such as language translation, answering questions, plagiarism and grammar check, summarization, and a whole lot more. With every input, it learns and updates its knowledge base, making it more accurate with each passing day.

Here is how I have been using ChatGPT:

  • "Improve this: [enter paragraph]"
  • "Check for grammatical mistakes: [enter paragraph]"
  • "Compose an email about requesting [enter task]"
  • "What came first: the chicken or the egg?"
  • "Expand this: [enter paragraph]"
  • "What is [super complex topic]?"
  • "Check for plagiarism: [enter paragraph]"
  • "Pickup lines for introverts"
  • "Check the word count for this: [enter paragraph]"
  • "Translate [sentence] to [language]"

ChatGPT has a span of capabilities, but it also has some constraints. One limitation is that it may experience scalability issues, resulting in the site crashing, particularly when there is an influx of users. Additionally, the information supplied by the model is based on data up to 2021, which means that it may not give you the most recent statistics and figures. Although, I am sure these issues will be resolved within a few months [or until the ?? PRO version is released].

Ever since I started using ChatGPT, I have noticed a significant improvement in my efficiency and effectiveness. In fact, it works so well that Google issued a red alert concerning the meteoric rise of ChatGPT. I am honestly excited about the future of OpenAI and the potential for this technology to revolutionize the way we work and communicate. I am looking forward to seeing how this technology evolves and improves in the future.

Type away, my fellow observers!

[ps. I'm going to play the devil's advocate and show you a tool that detects AI-written text ??]

Love it! "Pickup lines for introverts" made my day haha We're already playing around it to get help with our med-school stuff. It's not the most accurate thing to follow in that case, but it's so exciting!
