E-learning simply means electronic means of acquiring information or knowledge. E-learning can be defined as the use of computer and Internet technologies to deliver a broad array of solutions to enable learning and improve performance. It is generally known as ‘Online Learning’ which is the type of education that takes place over the Internet. E-learning is mostly misguided as distance learning. However, both terms share a similar and different ideas. E-learning or online learning could be blended or distributed. Although, it could be the umbrella term for any learning that does not take place in a traditional classroom.

While E-learning is a form of learning that involves network devices, distance learning could be administered online or in-class from a distant location or time. By far the most popular approach today is e-learning or online learning.
