What if a DSAT candidate doesn't have a device for the test?

Ideally it is always recommeded to have your own device for the test day. The fimiliarity we have with our own devices may save us a few minutes. However, if a candidate doesn't have a device for the test, that should not demotivate him from the test in fact we have a few solutions for that.

The best solution is obviously that he tries to borrow a device. It may be a friend or a relative who may give you his device for a day or two. In this case, please do make sure that there is no problem with the device operationally. The speed, battery timings, and other requirements should be on spot to avoid any trouble on the test day.

If this is also not possible for anyone, Collegeboard will be there to the rescue. So, if any student doesn't have a device for the test day, he/she can always request for a device from the collegeboard and a device will be provided on the test day.

So, how can we request for a device from the Collegeboard?

Upon successful registration for DSAT, the students will see the option of "Request a Device". Selecting this will link to a short information form which you are requested to fill in with in due time, which is 30 days from the test. If the request is approved, the Collegeboard will provide a device on the test day.

Remember: If you are taking a device from the Collegeboard, you would have to reach the test center at least 30 minutes before the test begins to complete the exam stup on the device. Upon successful completion, an admission ticket will be issued and you can carry on with the test like other candidates.
