What drives Scott Morrison?

What drives Scott Morrison?

Is it his ideology of free markets and small government that drives him? I think it is more fundamental than that.

Is it his religion? The desire to walk in the path of his deity? I think it is more personal than that.

Is it his desire to make an announcement, get a headline and start a conversation? I think it is more addictive than that.

What drives Scott Morrison are the physical sensations that he experiences inside his body. When something (policy, emergency, election, announcement etc)?comes across his desk, he has a physiological reaction to it. If he likes the feeling, he acts on?it. If he doesn't like it, he doesn't.

How do we know this? Because that is the way we all operate. We all make decisions based on the sensations we experience in our body. The saying of 'It feels good - let's do it!' is?common in business - and life. But if someone has a bad feeling about something, they don't do it.

The reason some people disagree with the decisions Morrison makes is that they would have a different reaction to what comes across his desk. That's all it is. Morrison feels one way and concludes that X should be done. You and I feel another way and conclude that either Y or Z should be done.

It's a battle of feelings, we then make up reasons to validate that.?

Next time you're in a debate, discussion or trying to understand why your staff do what they do, it's worth considering what they are feeling. No amount of external logic will overcome a?person's feelings and bodily sensations.

As always, I'd love your comments below.

Yes, I agree, we often go with our emotions and rationalise it. However, there must be some people who use their intelligence.
