What to Drink Every Morning

Do you know how many toxins are in today's world? Everywhere from the air you breathe, the water you drink, the shampoos and cosmetics that cover your body with chemicals, and of course, all of the additives, pesticides, hormones, antibiotics and other harmful ingredients in the food that you eat.

These toxins have harmful effects on your body, including but not limited to your metabolism and hormones, your digestive system, and your energy levels.

As soon as you get up, squeeze about 1/2 to 1 full lemon into an 8 oz glass of warm or room temperature water. This is gentler on your body than ice cold water. Pro Tip: Slicing the lemon into quarters is easier than squeezing halves. Another Pro Tip: make sure the rind is against your skin and hold the lemon upright, letting the juice fall, so the seeds don't spill down into your glass.

Drink this at least 10 minutes before eating any food for the day.

Make sure to use fresh lemons, preferably organic, and not bottled lemon juice. Using organic lemons will avoid contact with more harmful pesticides that can be found on fruit.
