What is draining your energy right now?

It's all about energy.?

If you’ve been struggling lately. If you’re tired and run down.

If you're feeling so stretched thin that you don't even have the energy to greet your kids at the end of the day, let alone read to them and put them to bed.

I want you to think about energy and what that means for you.?

See, for most of us, when we think of energy, we think of the physical. How tired we feel. How we don’t have the energy to exercise etc.?

But mental and emotional energy influence our physical energy way more than we realise.?

And you only have a finite amount of energy each day.?

You are not an Eveready battery. You can’t just keep going on and on... forever.

And here's the thing.?

Your mind is actually taking up about 20% of your energy resources.?

For something that is a tiny, tiny part of your body, it's taking up a huge amount.?

You might be doing everything that you can to increase your physical stamina.?

You might be exercising.?

You might be eating ALL the right things.?

But every time you subscribe to stress you are burning through your energy.

Every time you mull over situations again and again and let that feed into your body, your body is releasing the same cocktail of stress hormones as if you were actually in that situation.

See, your mental and emotional state has a huge implication on how much energy you feel in your day.?

We're talking about vitality and aliveness here.?

And if it's been a long time since you’ve felt this. Since you sprung out of bed filled with excitement and motivation ready to take on the day...

If you’re constantly feeling on edge. Or like an adrenaline junkie waiting to be triggered into action (think double espresso vibes)...?

Your energy is NOT right.?

And it needs to be. Because energy is everything.?

Without it you can’t function. You can't do all the things, you can't hit your goals and you certainly don't have fulfillment in your life.

You’re dead, basically.?

I mean, you could be hitting your goals, but instead you’re just whirring through your life on autopilot, stressing out so much you don't feel anything.?

Your mind is busy but your body is numb.?

So watch yourself.?

What are you feeding your brain constantly??

What stress are you under at the moment that is putting a lot of pressure on you??

What is zapping your energy and you don't even realise it??

Who are you around right now who is literally pulling that resource into them??

Energy vampires. Draining relationships. Stressful menial tasks that stop you getting to the big, important life purpose stuff you want to be doing.?

You need to let that sh$t go.?

One of my clients recently ended a relationship that she had wanted to end for 20 years.?

Two decades of feeling drained and unhappy but not quite realising how much it was affecting her. Crazy right???

Finally, when she pulled the plug, she felt like she had so much MORE vitality in her body once she made that decision.?

Now I'm not telling you to do that.?

I'm just saying that there’s probably a lot of stuff around you that’s pulling you down right now, and you don't even see it.?

So start to filter. What are all the energy drainers in your life? And let's try and put back the energy gains.

Because remember you have a bucket that is your capacity to hold stress. It’s also your capacity to keep the energy in your body.?

And ultimately, anything that is gaining your energy, do MORE of that.?

As an extrovert, I LOVE being around people - it fuels me. And I realised recently that I've just been sitting behind my computer alone, typing and talking.?

It was KILLING my energy levels.

And you’re different. What works for me, might not work for you. Figure out what YOU need to do for your physical, emotional and mental energy and just DO IT.?

Because if you don't, you're going to watch that energy zap. And you’re going to keep on hearing that same old ‘I’m exhausted’ complaint rolling off your tongue.?

It’s time to change the record.?
