What was Dragons Den really like?

Throwback to 2016!
There are a lot of new peeps in here! I thought it would be fun to share one of my most asked questions.
One of the most popular topics I get asked a lot about is Dragons' Den.
?? " Was it hard to get on the show? "
??" What was it like to be on Dragons' Den?"
??" We're you nervous?"
??" What was the set like? "
??" Is Mr. Wonderful really like his TV personality in real life? ??
And so many more...
Yes, it was extremely hard to get a spot on the show. You have to get past the producers first and you're in a long line of other hopeful entrepreneurs with the same dreams. ?
It was an early Monday morning on April, 5 am to be exact. I was expecting my third baby, a boy and I don't think I slept that entire night. Between him sitting on my bladder and my excitement of pitching to the Dragons', sleep was not in the cards for me.
Hatem and I were extremely confident in our business and knew with a lot of practice, research, and creativity, we would nail it. It wasn't a guarantee, but we were willing to work hard enough to make sure it was at least an 80% chance of success ??
I was nervous, but it was more excitement than nerves. My natively and extreme optimistic attitude didn't allow for anything else ??
How could they not LOVE this business? We sell the most amazing teas and do it through a network of entrepreneurs!! Isn't that what Dragons' Den and Shark Tank are all about? ??
The set as you can see from the pictures is gray, black, and dark. Not ideal for a tea party company ??
So I added my colorful touches to it and created sparks of color everywhere the eyes could see. ??
Mr. Wonderful was extremely impressed with our business...he really wanted to be our partners, but it wasn't meant to be for him and me ?? ??
We met him at a Dragons' Den party a few months later and he wasn't exactly warm and fuzzy with us, but it could have been because we didn't choose to partner with him. ??
I've heard from people who have said he's actually a really nice guy, once you get to know him. I'll take their word for it ;-)
If you haven't watched our epic episode, you can go to our website www.sipology.com or YouTube it :-)
Ahhh, the memories... its been a ride and a half.
