...Does actually make you stronger.
This past weekend, I went to the Sky Gym at Skull Canyon with some members from 4PC, part of Rich Litvin 's community. There I was, however many feet up in the air, questioning my life choices as I went from one obstacle to the next. This is where I share with you that I only completed the lowest elevation obstacle course while the rest of the group went much higher.
There was nothing about this course that was physically impossible for me. And yet, I made it physically impossible for me to complete it. I had some success but it wasn't satisfying success.
Create the conditions to be all in and to be stronger.
Badasses, if you're not all in for a project or a goal at the beginning, you'll never be all in throughout and at the end. And, whatever outcome you yield will never be satisfying to you.
Think about a time when it felt like it took too long to accomplish something or that no matter what you did, the outcome was middling and not up to your standards. Then ask:

Be kind.
Badasses, I came out of this exercise kicking myself for not seeing that which was immediately in front of me. It took me until the end of the obstacle course to realize why I wasn't physically performing the way I know my body can.
And now, I'm so thankful to have the lesson. It was the best thing that could have happened because it really drives the point home about being aligned.
If you find yourself in similar position, be kind to yourself and appreciate the gift (and the humor) of the circumstances. It changes a situation from a bitter pill into a much needed vitamin.
You're stronger.
