Introductions are no longer about your name! Introductions are about your definition! Your definition gets people to remember your name. Every introduction is an opportunity to define who you are to others you engage. Many people are looking for the same thing, so what wins is distinction!
If this is the case, where will your image distinction come from? Be outstanding in your appearance, be in alignment with your behavior (etiquette) and non verbal communication. Soon, before you even say a word, people will have already seen your value and are ready to listen to what you have to say.
As part of my Image Leadership program, I have developed a system that I refer to as the 3Cs - Clarity, Confidence and Communication. This model helps you to chart, navigate and stay on course when it comes to your image and help you transform into being successful and memorable.
The first thing you need when developing your image is Clarity.
Clarity simply means
● PLACING THE MICROSCOPE ON YOU - Identifying all your highlights and lowlights, why they limit you, and documenting them in as raw a form as possible.
● FIGURING OUT YOUR NAVIGATION - Don't focus on what's behind. Despite your current situation, what space are you looking to play in? You will need to appear, behave and communicate like a leader in that space even before it shows up.
● DESIGNING YOUR MENTAL MASTERPIECE - What will it take to visualize your ultimate positioning in life, relationships and professional passion you call work?
● PROJECTING YOUR HIGHLIGHTS AND DEVELOPING YOUR LOWLIGHTS - As humans, we all have strengths. These are our unique talents, abilities and skills. To develop an outstanding persona, it is essential to identify and highlight these strengths. Our lowlights are obstacles and provocations that we need to overcome. Once we map out the ones to project and the ones to develop our engagements will be highly preferred productive and profitable.
Truly, achieving clarity involves a lot of analysis effort and time but once done, it will lead to optimal opportunities for accelerated growth.
