What does it take to have constant faith?

What does it take to have constant faith?

As believers, we know we walk by faith and not by sight. What does it take to have constant faith?

1. Spirituality

Faith is a spiritual matter; it is not first a mental thing (2 Corinthians 4:13). Faith is not of the mind, it is of the heart

“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:24?NKJV
“The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.” Romans 8:16 NKJV

Anything to do with God is, first of all, spiritual. As humans, we have our human spirit and the spirit of God. When you become born again, the spirit of God mingles with your spirit, and you have oneness with God. From that angle, we get the spirit of faith.

If you want to walk with God, you have to first of all be spiritual. Set your mind on the things of the spirit (Colossians 3:2).

“For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. “ Romans 8:5 NKJV

No one walks by faith carnally; you must pray and read your Bible. Prayer must be intentional, not incidental. You must choose to set your mind on things of the spirit or things of the flesh.

2. Watch your exposure

In Mark 5:24-42, we read that Jairus was exposed to an atmosphere of things working by faith, giving him the audacity to believe (v36).

“As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe.” Mark 5:36 NKJV

Expose yourself to what will generate and boost your faith. It doesn't matter how strong-willed you are, what you hear and see will have an impact on your outlook. Take heed of what you hear because it is coming for your faith. Faith comes by hearing but can also go by hearing. Your exposure will determine how effectively you can act by faith.

3. Focus

“By faith?he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible.” Hebrews 11:27 NKJV

Moses was able to endure because He saw something ahead. You can't sink if you keep your focus on God's word. When things are rough, focus on what God has said. Don't consider the negative things that may be around you (Romans 4:19).

4. A Word from God
“Now faith is the?substance of things hoped for, the?evidence?of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 NKJV
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17 NKJV

Faith is not an opinion or ideology it is substance. You can't walk by faith having not received a word from God. Where did you get your faith from if you haven't heard a word from God? If it’s not from God, it is fake, not faith.

5. Step out in faith
“The sea saw?it?and fled; Jordan turned back.” Psalm 114:3 NKJV

Don't wait for all the traffic lights to be green before you step out of the house. In Psalm 114:3, we see that the Israelites went forward, and by the time they got to the sea, the "sea saw them and fled." What did the sea see? The sea saw people taking a step based on God's word. Others may not see what you are walking on, but you know that you are walking on a word.

"And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward." Exodus 14:15 NKJV

To learn how to swim, you have to get into the water. To learn how to drive, you have to jump behind the wheel. To walk by faith, you have to step out in faith. If you wait for instructions based on what is seen, you cannot walk by faith. Having faith in all seasons means you just take steps of faith.

6. Mind your language

Mind your words. As a human, you can be caught off guard saying what you shouldn't say. A walk of faith is a function of your confession even before your actions.

Don't say what you don't want to see; it will be sorted. What is happening in your life is because of what you are saying.

"Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy." Psalm 107:2 NKJV

??? Don't say what you don't want to see (2 Corinthians 4:13). Your faith can never rise above your confession

?? There are also things you have to say out of a necessity

?? Say what you want to see, don't say what you don't want to see (Mark 11:23)

Jesus is the High Priest of our confessions, not our hopes.

I see you thriving. Your days of failure are over! If you are a believer, constantly confess that you have faith in God.
