What does it take to create a team?
Diary of Socialpreneur - Chapter 3
What does it take to create a team?
This still is an unanswerable question to us. But throughout this journey of social entrepreneurship, we could closely tackle the issues that occur while managing people. There have been multiple critics and perspectives attached to this title of?'Leader'. Yet, it seems to be a capricious one. Before understanding ours, one has to consider some instances while growing an organization.?
As initiators, we had set up certain goals which after tens of iterations started appearing real and achievable. One of them was to GROW in terms of team. We proceeded with creating multiple onboarding drives and fortunately could gather some dedicated people around. Now starts the actual maze, following are the significant realizations we perceived as creators:
1) It was easy to manage with 2 people but it used to be insufficient and somehow restricted us from acquiring large.
2) Damage control started becoming a pain in the ass.
3) Sometimes we even felt that it could be better if we were alone without the responsibilities of others.
4) On the positive side, we felt elated a lot of times while setting up a robust system of dedicated members.
5) We felt privileged to be looked upon by a few and manage them as a part of our daily routine.

It was also proven to be a great and encouraging practice to work under the influence of your subordinate sometimes. This not only enables them to taste the deserving superiority but to keep at it every time.?
Today, writing this gives a sense of pride to my beloved mother. She (not at all related to business background) had told me this while I was feeling awful about my team members - Son! Sugar on your tongue and ice on your head would always help you get out of stress.?
Indeed, this ultimatum saved a lot of me. It did not necessarily teach me to tolerate inappropriate behavior but more about how to tackle such behavior.
It takes nothing but a vision to create a Team. Constant follow-up, Regular monitoring, and maintaining a ground connection are the KEY.
