What does PCBA online test mainly test?
We often hear the concept of #PCBA online test, so what is the test content? #PCBA test refers to testing whether the PCBA Board meets the design requirements through the electrical connection of the test point and the reading of the upper computer software or collector, so as to determine whether the mounting process is qualified.
#PCBA online test mainly tests the following contents:
1. Whether the voltage and current meet the design requirements
Under normal circumstances, after each PCBA is powered on, even if the MCU program is not burned, various voltage differences and current conduction can be generated through circuit connection. PCB designers will deploy different test points on PCBA board, which can be connected with ICT or FCT test rack to detect voltage and current data.

2. After burning MCU program, conduct user action input to detect whether the output is normal
When the PCBA board burns the MCU program, the user executes the action (for example, long press the switch for 3 seconds), and the MCU will send logic commands to control the switch of the circuit, so as to meet the design requirements. In this case, PCBA online test can detect whether the input and output of this action are normal.
3. Full function test at product level
This online test is relatively advanced, which basically simulates more than 80% of the core functions of the product. It needs to be combined with customized host computer software to simulate the operation of users to detect whether each function is perfect. This test can cover circuit on-off, motor drive, signal transmission, front-end software simulation operation, etc. it is difficult to develop and customize, and is suitable for on-line production of mass products.
In the production of small and medium-sized PCBA boards, FCT function test is most used: by developing a function test frame, connect each test point on the PCBA board, burn the program, manually simulate important inputs and observe whether the output meets the design requirements, and some use voltage / current collectors to capture the test point data and display it on the upper computer.
