What does it mean to post intentionally?
For a few months now, I have stopped posting on my social channels because I lost my ‘Why’.
Oftentimes, we find ourselves in a rat race to post just to be in the feeds. But, I believe it's important to have a 'why' and be intentional when writing a piece of content.
Business or personal, social channels are an extension of our personalities. This is the reason before pushing content out, I ask myself three questions.
Is this post intentional?
This question helps me understand my intent. What do I want to achieve? What do I want people to learn? What action do I want people to take?
Am I relevant?
A lot of the time I wonder what content relevance really means. Does it mean I have to jump on every social trend I see? Or does being relevant mean posts should be current and consistent?
What’s my audience’s journey like?
A friend once said, always put yourself on your audience’s journey. When you see a post, what do you do next? How does the post make you feel? Will you react and engage with that post – like, comment, follow or share?
So, what am I saying? Although you must stay consistent to stay ahead of the game, whether you post for business or personal purposes, it's still okay to take a step back and evaluate your content by asking yourself the three questions and finding your 'Why'.

1 年Posting intentionally means connecting with target via your message created. Not only that but also using the language that is used by them. It is not about trying to keep your feed everyday but make that feed matters. So it is sometimes to take back and understand the target again because they tend to evolve everyday.
