WHAT DOES LINDIWE SISULU AND THE RET CROWD REALLY WANT?

Our news has been dominated by the article allegedly penned by our ethically flexible Tourism Minister, Princess Lindiwe Sisulu entitled?Hi Mzansi, have we seen justice?. Her letter outlines that all of South Africa's problems can be laid at the door of our "world-class" constitution and our black judges.

According to Sisulu, primary school learners falling into pit latrines is the fault of the constitution. When we have to endure long bouts of load shedding, it is not the result of State Capture but the fault of judges trying to hold the perpetrators to account. When poor people live in shacks, it is not the result of the Minister of Housing not doing her job or the Ministers of Trade and Industry, Finance or Mineral Resources for not enabling the environment which promotes economic growth; it is the fault of the constitution and the black judges that uphold the law.

Despite being in the cabinet since 1994 and holding several high-profile Cabinet Ministry posts including Defence, Housing, Water & Sanitation and Tourism, Sisulu seems to claim that the reason that black people are poor is not because of industrial-scale looting and mismanagement by the ANC, but because the constitution insists on everybody being equal before the law. This missive by one of the most incompetent of ANC leaders is so badly constructed that you couldn't make it up!

Sisulu (or whoever penned this article), then really hits their stride and attacks black politicians as being "black assets for colonised capital" but she saves the big blows for black judges, who she so obviously does not like. She insults them as being "House Negroes", "mentally colonised" and "only too happy to lick the spittle of those who falsely claim superiority"

So what does Lindiwe Sisulu want?

Lets set aside my skepticism about whether an intellectual midget like Lindiwe Sisulu could pen this article, or whether she is doing anything more but announcing her campaign for the Presidency of the ANC as the leader of the Radical Economic Transformation (RET) grouping at the ANC's elective conference at the end of the year. The question is?what does she want?

Any country needs a constitution or at least a set of laws. One would imagine that she wants laws that are not that strong on holding politicians to account. Lindiwe Sisulu or whoever her handlers are; want South Africa to operate like Uganda or Zimbabwe, where citizens can be sent to jail for criticising the president and politicians get to make billions of dollars deposited in tax havens while the country's poor starve.

This poor tormented woman, who was once a devoted follower of Jacob Zuma, jumped ship to become Cyril Ramaphosa's Deputy at the 2017 ANC's elective conference. We can all see through this thinly disguised election manifesto. The only remaining question is what does the President do? Well I suppose Cyril will do what he always does: be shocked and set up a commission of enquiry
