  • For me it is not (anymore) being the matter expert, even though I have a tendency towards that.
  • It is not about me it is about the others, my team, my peers, my line-manager, my cross-function colleagues, customers. ?
  • Listening in to hear the others, even there is silence in the room.
  • A lot of self-reflection, be clear on your goals, strategy, and communication.
  • Being aware that I have blind spots and hoping that I find them, or someone is bold enough to tell me at some point.
  • Receiving feedback and more frequently giving feedback gives me and my team the chance to improve.

What drives leadership for you?
