Patchport is a god send for the industry. A truly well needed solution that enables salons to keep a solid & well documented track of all of their patch tests. I have always patch tested each client. However never really had anything to document them on. But after recently having had a client react to a treatment, despite not reacting at their patch test, was a real shock to the system for me. I had text messages about the test being performed, but no photos or signed documents in place for the patch test itself. Luckily the client was an angel about it, and of course I’d patch tested her. But in the eyes of insurance, would my text messages stand up if a claim was in fact made? Probably not
As soon as PatchPort came out I jumped on! It gives me the peace of mind knowing everything is documented in one place. It really does make me legal, safe & compliant
I’d also like to add that as a Salon Client it gives a level of convenience that we haven’t seen before. Thanks to the insurable post out patch tests but also because of the ability to be patch tested at any Salon that uses PatchPort & go have my treatment at another. For example if my original therapist is unwell, I can find another PatchPort Salon to go & have treatment done there even at short notice, without having to have a patch test… because my record is already there!
