When you live in Miami you may find two kinds of reactions to the prospect of a hurricane:
1) Some people freak out, pay thousands of dollars for a ticket to run away, or elbow an older lady at Publix to snap the last gallons of water.
2) Others wait till the last minute to bring their patio furniture inside and do not have even a crumb of a cracker stored at home.
In real estate life something similar happens: Some agents get so overly nervous that they never think they have enough preparation to approach a prospect and they end up killing the opportunity. Others think they can wing it and burn that bridge for ever.
A healthy medium is the key: Be prepared, do your homework, keep calm and don't allow perfection to be a synonym of paralysis.
