What does a game of LUDO tells you?
I know it sounds different when we talk on this forum about a game of Ludo that we use to play a long time ago may be when we were kids. I am sure that most of us have played the game earlier.
This weekend i was sitting with a bunch of kid watching them playing the game of Ludo where they were having fun which is into the different world which we in our daily life can`t think about. I don`t know when I had so much.
I have a habit of observing people whenever i sit with people, i keep on observing them because i feel sitting quite with some expressions gives a ground level approach to know the people better and so i did with these kids
Here, I observed four modes of playing game:(which i will explain in the way they won)
- Silent & Equal opportunity to the team:First kid who won the game was pretty silent and quite while playing the game. As his strategy was not to win the game by reaching the last column one by one. He was thinking about the team that each and every member should have to support the other by giving a back support to the member in front of him.
- Moderate: This kid was moderate towards everyone running two members at a time and both supporting each other by beating the opponent`s member.
- Aggression: This kid was pretty aggressive he don`t have a strategy. The only strategy that he had in his mind was to beat opponent`s member to go forward.where he got his members beat n number of times but the luck was in his favor as he was putting continuous efforts to win.
- Silent & Quite: This kid was very much silent just looking to what is happening and searching for the way to pass the opponent but the competition was so tough that he sometimes got the way or sometimes got beaten by the opponent.
Here, i felt and understood that the kid who came at the last was quite and was trying find a way with out putting the whole potential into it.while the guy who was aggressive and trying to beat the opponents won the game At a later stage i got to know the guy was not interested and motivated to play. As he was the champion of the game.
Now the question comes why and what does this teach us in our real or professional life?
For this i have broadly 4 categories in it:
- Aggressiveness can fetch you result but which could be temporary,Aggressiveness is good but you cannot be over aggressive that you lose the focus from your target.Like the third kid his main motive got shifted from winning the game to beating the other opponent.
- Silent & quite is good but you should be motivated enough to aim at your goal.Without motivation and goal you becomes a looser as you have no path to run.Better quit than regret.
- Being moderate is good with focus and vision to achieve some thing that you aim at,but if you don`t keep everyone around you at the same page it could be a trouble.
- Being Silent with a fore seeking vision and aim not just for one but for all can make you a leader and winner of all.
