What Does Excellence Look Like?

What does excellence look like? In our CEO Peer Groups of DFW, we say that excellence is "the best of your ability as you pursue the life you really want."

Sometimes business owners tell me they are doing great because they're only measuring one or two areas of their life - while neglecting others. You cannot brag about the success of your business if other areas of your life are falling apart.

In this example, your career is off the?charts?but your family life is suffering.??Your Finances are?solid?but you've neglected your relationship with GOD. So is it really excellence if one area of your life is amazing while other areas are falling apart??

When we talk about excellence in our CEO Groups we say that everything?has to be above the zero line in order to claim you have excellence.? Not that everything has to be a perfect 10, but you can choose to put more effort and time into improving other areas that are under the zero line and let the other successful areas slow down a bit while you catch up.
