What does an Entrepreneur | CEO do? Week 4

Here we are towards the end of January, and things are moving. Patricia Maben and I spent the early part of this week at a client's campus working on a national yield strategy. It helps to be up almost 30% in applications, but as we all know, that is the first seven innings; now, we need to win the last three.

Of the many things we do, working with clients on the details is what we both enjoy the most. We are practitioners at heart, and we like doing the work. We are energized working directly on an institution's strategy, positioning, and all aspects of improving enrollment results. Seeing more students attend, graduate, and give back to college is our why.

It's January 2025 - week 4. So what are we doing?

• Client visit, full day, and dinner.
• We reviewed client results and reviewed our deposit forecasts for each institution we work with.
• Employee compensation continued with reviews this week.
• New solution advancement deep dive sessions. Major new enhancements to 3E enrollment marketing services solutions are rolling out from January to June.
• Event planning reviews: three upcoming industry events: two in January and one in the first week of February.

We meet with college and university Presidents from breakfast through dinner at these events. These are full days meeting with clients and future clients.

• Reviewed an RFP sent to us with sales; we decided to decline and not respond.
• New product development weekly team meeting.

At these meetings, we review product development initiatives that are in progress and consider new ones.

• Discussed with team members agendas and material for two client trips happening next week.
• The 2025 planning and kick-off work continued. Progress was made on 3E Kickoff Week content and speaker prep, and daily swag for our employees (we call everyone Difference Makers) was ordered.
